Ryan Killackey

Ryan has been practicing for 10 years within the School-Based/Out-Patient settings and is experienced in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, anger/aggression, adjustment issues, relationship difficulties, and behavioral/academic problems. He received his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders at Ouachita Baptist University in 1998. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ryan began competitive swimming at the age of six and continued collegiately at Ouachita Baptist University earning NCAA All-American honors all four years. Prior to entering the counseling field, Ryan was the Head Coach of the OBU swimming and diving team where he led the Tigersharks to many top ten national performances. Ryan combines mental health and coaching strategies to help individuals and families navigate through life’s challenges. His therapeutic techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral, Active parenting, Person Centered, Solution Focused, and Play Therapy.

Specializations: children, adolescents, young adults, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger/aggression, adjustment issues, relationship difficulties, and behavioral/academic problems.

Certifications: Active Parenting, Solution Focused Therapy, and Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR).
