Jill Treece

Jill has been practicing for 2 years and is a Licensed Associate Counselor in our Out-Patient therapy clinic in Hot Springs. She has a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Henderson State University. Prior to counseling, she was an equine behavioral consultant (basically a horse therapist!) who specialized in positive reinforcement training for helping horses with problem behaviors. Now in the human counseling world, Jill’s approach to therapy begins with a few core beliefs: the client is the expert on themselves; we all have an internal drive to become our most vibrant, authentic selves; we have the capacity to create the lives we desire and deserve; our past experiences influence our present, and often, the more we learn about how that past affects our present, the more power we have to shape the present and future that is the most authentic and fulfilling to us; Jill believes her job as a therapist is to offer guidance and support in that process. She uses the philosophy of existential therapy to guide her practice but is integrative of many approaches. Jill pulls from a variety of theories such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative, psychodynamic, attachment theory, and holistic approaches.

Areas of Focus: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Trauma, Relationships and Communication Skill, and Affirming Care to LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients. She works with teenage and adult individuals.
