Community Jail Diversion Program

The Diversion Team is available to provide services to criminal justice involved individuals struggling with both co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.

This program offers the following:

  • Mental Health Services
  • Substance Abuse Peer Support
  • Forensic Peer Support  with the Criminal Justice System
  • Case Management Services
  • Warm Line Information and Support

To qualify, you must have ALL 3 of the following:

  1. Criminal Justice Involvement
  2. Serious Mental Illness
  3. Co-Occurring Illness like Substance Abuse

The team’s goal is to address the needs of the client in order to promote overall wellness and reduce recidivism of criminal justice involvement. Referrals for this program can come from court officials, correctional staff, probation/parole officers, warm-line referrals, health providers, or self-referrals.

Genoa is able to fill OBHAW clients’ medication needs on-site to ensure that they’re provided the best possible mental health services around.

Some of the services provided are:

  • A full-service pharmacy that can fill all of your medications, even those from your primary care physician
  • Pre-filled pill organizers to help you take the right dose at the right time
  • Dependable delivery and mail services at no cost to you
  • Trusting and caring staff to help you with anything that comes up, including medicine and insurance questions
  • Available to answer questions during business hours or through our 24-hour customer service line

Walk-In Clinics

Our Walk-In Clinics make your first visit to an OBHAW clinic easy.

Using our Walk-In Clinic means, you no longer have to call to make an appointment for your first visit to OBHAW. Sign in at one of our WIC locations to be seen by our Walk-In Clinic therapist.

First, you will meet with a financial case manager, and then our Walk-In Clinic therapist will work with you to decide on the best plan for treatment, and pair you with a therapist for ongoing appointments. We offer extended hours at our Hot Springs location.

You no longer have to call and make the appointment for your first visit, and in some cases, you will see a therapist the same day.

Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness.

A program to support individuals with serious mental illnesses as well as individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

The program provides:

  • Community Outreach
  • Diagnostic Screening and Therapeutic Treatment
  • Case management services
  • Referrals for substance abuse, primary healthcare, job training, educational opportunities, and housing

Ouachita Behavioral Health & Wellness groups and classes are designed to help clients develop skills that are applicable to real life situations. It is important to us that every hour spent in a group is spent productively.
