Where are you located?

We have five locations for your convenience. Our headquarters is located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. We currently have offices in Malvern, Arkadelphia, Glenwood and Mt. Ida.

What is the process for the Walk-in Clinic?

Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness is proud to offer Walk-In Clinic (WIC) service for all first time outpatient clients. Our Walk-In Clinics make your first visit to an OBHAW clinic easy. Using our Walk-In Clinic means you no longer have to call to make an appointment for your first visit to OBHAW. You can access services one of the following ways:

  • Simply sign-in to one of our WIC offices to be seen by our WIC Therapist. Our staff will partner you with a financial case manager, work with you to decide on the best plan for treatment, and our WIC Therapist will pair you with a Therapist for ongoing appointments. We currently have WIC’s in Hot Springs and Malvern.
  • You may come through our virtual admissions clinic. Simply click the button to enter our virtual waiting room. Someone will be with you shortly to get you started on your paperwork.

Will I be able to see a Psychiatrist on my first visit? And will I be able to get medication on my first visit to the WIC?

Since our psychiatrists are specialists, we must first evaluate all of your psychosocial needs and collect personal information from you. The psychiatrist will have the data needed to provide you with the highest quality of professional care when you are scheduled for your appointment and able to prescribe medication, if required, at that time.

What insurances do you accept?

It is extremely important to us that everyone has access to the care they need. Our team is devoted to helping all of our clients find a method of payment that will fit with their needs. The cost of counseling at OBHAW is dependent on your insurance provider. We work with a variety of insurance providers including (but not limited to):

  • BlueCross BlueShield
  • Humana
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • Cigna
  • Tricare
  • QualChoice
  • Novasys/Ambetter
  • WellCare
  • Aetna
  • HealthScope
  • Optum

If you do not have insurance, there are other payment options. Our team will work in partnership with you to find the best payment source. If paying out-of-pocket is the best fit for you, we will use our sliding fee scale to determine the cost of your services.

What if I do not have any insurance at all?

We will see you even if you do not have insurance. Our financial case managers will work with you and assist you with applying for insurance as well. Until then, we will work with you and have grants that will cover your services until you are able to get on insurance.

Do you offer Video/Remote Therapy?

Yes, we do! You only need to come into our facility once to get Distance Counseling set up for you. Keep in mind that some insurances do not cover this service, so please check in with your insurance provider before your visit.

How long will I be in therapy at OBHAW?

The length of your treatment at OBHAW will depend on the plan you form with your therapist for reaching your treatment goals. Our team members will work in partnership with you to determine the types and length of treatment that will be the best fit for you.

I need my medication filled, but I am not a client. What do I need to do to get my medication filled?

We can only provide medical services to persons who have established themselves as clients. If you do not wish to become a client, we can refer you to any local medical walk-in clinic, the local emergency rooms, and the Cooperative Charitable Medical Clinic. You may also visit with your primary care physician to possibly have him/her write refills for your prescriptions.

The crisis team is staffed with specially trained counselors who rapidly assess acute mental health needs and take immediate action to implement appropriate treatment.

The Crisis Team is on call Monday-Friday 5 pm-7 am and Weekends.
