The NHSC Loan Repayment program provides loan repayment assistance to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who serve in communities with limited access to health care. There are both full-time and half-time options for service commitment. The dollar amount of assistance and length of service depend on participation in either the full- or half-time and on the need on the Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) score of the site.

POSITION GOAL:
The QBHP is responsible for providing intervention services according to current performance indicators. Services include but are not limited to:

Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness is in search of a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to serve clients in our Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid use disorder program. Qualified candidate must have a High School diploma or GED, valid Arkansas driver’s license/ identification card, 2 years or more of lived experience having personally received services within the behavioral health system, and complete the PSS training program approved by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Candidate will also need computer skills, and be able to meet requirements and pass background checks.
POSITION GOAL
The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing services as medically necessary with the substance abuse treatment program. Services include monitoring client’s behavioral/ mental/ emotional state, linking client/ family to community resources, encouraging and engaging clients in recovery, acting as liaison with PASSE and other service providers, documenting therapeutic interventions as deemed medically necessary by treatment team, and advocate for client well-being as a member of the treatment team.
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive. Drug Screen and background checks required.

Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness is seeking a Terminally Licensed Mental Health Professional (MHP) for our Hot Springs location to provide services in our Open Access/Walk-In Clinic. The MHP is responsible for providing mental health and substance use assessments, care coordination and treatment to individuals and families. Must have licensure as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Arkansas. Some evenings will be required.

Position opening for a DASEP Court Screener. The Court Screener will conduct the Presentence Screening Reports (PSSR) and make recommendations to the court, as required by law, to assist the court in determining whether an individual upon adjudication of guilt should receive DWI/DUI education or be referred to a state approved treatment program. The court screener must be present in each court whenever DWI/DUI cases are presented for arraignment. This position will also require providing DASEP education classes as needed. Experience needed in working with persons that have substance abuse problems. Candidate must have good communication skills and documentation skills. Minimum GED or High School Diploma required.
